Father's Birthday

Two days ago, my Father celebrated his 64th birthday in a rare occasion where the whole family gathered including many relatives. There to celebrate were his brothers who share the same passion and love for drinking. So as early as 11 am, two tables were already emptying bottles of Colt45 in a tradition characterized by intoxicating laughs, endless story yelling and of course, loud videoke singing. A merienda and dinner was prepared for kids and other guests. It was like a reunion of some sort.

By midnight, all the tomadors and relatives have gone home, the videoke singing has stopped and the mess was just waiting to be cleaned up. Everything we have prepared was consumed as it was supposed to be. My Father was already sleeping comfortably. I wonder that if he's sleeping, he could be dreaming of having the happiest birthday his entire life.
